The Generational Horizon

What happens when a family keeps the SIP habit alive across generations — same discipline, rising SIPs with inflation between generations, and one fixed illustration return (10% a year, compounded yearly after each year's contributions). This is a thought experiment about continuity, not a forecast.

Read this first: This is a thought experiment about the power of continuity across generations. Real outcomes will be shaped by markets, inflation, taxes, family choices, and life. The habit matters more than the exact rupee — but the rupee is still worth seeing.

Inputs

Return is fixed at 10% nominal yearly after each year's 12 contributions. The next generation's starting SIP is the original SIP scaled by 6% inflation for each full generation leg. Same step-up percentage applies within each leg.

Corpus through time

Illustrative thought experiment only — not a financial projection. Actual outcomes will differ sharply due to market conditions, inflation, taxation, and decisions across decades. The 10% return is not guaranteed. Educational perspective from Dhansanchay; not investment advice. Mutual Fund investments are subject to market risks.
